S.O.C.K.S.

Shai's cat Socks looks like a mad cat - he's looking for a shoe or something to destroy?
Maybe he's glaring at the cat food dish and trying to make it levitate towards him?
Or maybe he's not getting enough cat worship to suit his liking?

I, like Socks, was upset the night I painted this piece. Full of rage, and anger at a person who did unimaginable things - I was ready to quit. (maybe even for good.)
But each time I'd look down at the cat and decide NOT to accept defeat, yell a few naughty things, and keep working.
The next thing I knew it was dawn, the birds were chirping, and Socks was staring back from the canvas at me.
Several people have since tried to claim ownership of this cat. :)
