Unexpectedly, I walked into the room after a long stressful day and stopped in my tracks.
My daughter's teddy bear, Eric, was in such a cozy place and seemed to know the secrets to finding peace.
I took a picture so that it could be painted - toys tend to not stay in the same place very long -
and then grabbed a cup of coffee and joined the bear for a while.

The painting was meant to be and poured off the brushes very quickly. It went to competitions,
and was my first painting to win an award in a regional show.

The nicest part of this painting is that it still invokes the moment of peace and tranquility when it's needed the most.
