Artist's Bio

Growing up in the small town of Montevallo turned out to be a great advantage for Alabama native Joy (Glass) Koch. This town possesses a university with a fine arts program from which a child could benefit from seeing a rich varity of performances and displays on a fairly regular basis, and get the chance to participate in multiple university sponsored programs.

Receiving formal training in college as a graphic artist, the creative itch continued and brought her back again to the earlier passion of painting. As the years have passed, Ms. Koch has been building a collection of award winning works that for the most part reflect the beauty of the world around us. She currently resides in Tuscaloosa, AL with her three children, two cats, a dog, and a goldfish.
